Women and cancer

Women and cancer are, unfortunately, all too often, mentioned in the same breath.  If you want to give a woman fighting cancer a gift of laughter, give her Chemo KateLynn: Humorous Perspectives on Life Before Cancer and After Diagnosis.

This book makes a wonderful gift for women and cancer patients.  Authored by Andrea Lynn Katz, a cancer survivor, it can be enjoyed and appreciated by anyone whose life has been touched by cancer.  It’s insightful and witty humor rings true to all who read it.

After being diagnosed with an incurable form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in December 2007, Andrea realized that there was a real need to inject some humor in an otherwise depressing and stressful condition.  As the saying goes, “Necessity is the mother of invention,” so she created her alter ego in the character Chemo KateLynn and began to write this book as she was going through chemotherapy. It is completely illustrated by artist Brandon Friend and contains scenes that speak to the everyday “slices of life” that women and cancer patients experience as seen through the eyes of Chemo KateLynn in her BC (before cancer) and AD (after diagnosis) state of mind.

If you want to make women and cancer patients laugh in the face of disease, this bookmakes the ideal gift.
