Women with Cancer

Women with cancer need more than chemotherapy and radiation to fight their disease successfully.  Women with cancer need the gift of laughter.  Chemo KateLynn: Humorous Perspectives on Life Before Cancer and After Diagnosis is the perfect gift of laughter.

Author Andrea Lynn Katz knows what it takes to make women with cancer laugh.  That’s because she’s a cancer survivor too.  Diagnosed with an incurable form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma just three months shy of her fiftieth birthday, Andrea quickly realized that there was a real lack of good humor on the market that targets women with cancer.  She decided to change that by creating the character, Chemo KateLynn (her alter ego), and writing this book.

Women with cancer as well as anyone whose life has been touched by cancer will be able to relate to the wit and humor contained in this cleverly illustrated book.  The book contains everyday “slices of life” – from office politics to beauty and shopping – as seen through the eyes of Chemo KateLynn in her BC (before cancer) and AD (after diagnosis) state of mind.  As Chemo KateLynn fights her disease, she is transformed into a “seize the moment” type of woman who realizes that there is no time better than the present to make changes, take risk, indulge in her desires and focus on life’s most important gifts.
